Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a co‑educational secondary school and sixth form in South West London. The role starts in September and offers a full‑time, long‑term temporary contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Support SEN and LAP students in group or whole‑class intervention sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify each student's learning needs.
• Attend to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required.
• Assist with behaviour management using strategies aligned with academy policy.
• Undertake learning activities or teaching programmes as needed.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS.
• UK Bachelor's degree or overseas equivalent.
• Experience working with children, teenagers or young people, or previous teaching assistant experience in UK schools.
