Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Redbridge)

About the role

An exciting long‑term opportunity has arisen for a motivated Teaching Assistant to join one of Redbridge's highest‑performing secondary schools. You will work within a supportive inclusion team, helping KS3 and KS4 pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, to achieve their full academic and personal potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with the SEN team to tailor support for pupils with special educational needs.
• Help students stay engaged, make progress, and develop positive relationships with staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a comparable support role.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication, teamwork and pastoral skills.
• Reliable, professional attitude with full‑time, long‑term availability.
