Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools (Droylsden)

About the role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Droylsden, Longsight and Stockport. The role offers flexible supply, short‑term cover or longer‑term placements in a variety of settings, from independent single‑sex schools to mainstream academies.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 and, where required, 5.
• Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance, including for students with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist with coursework, revision and exam preparation.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in schools, tutoring, coaching or youth work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and passionate about supporting student learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK and recent references covering the last two years.
