Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools in Liverpool

About the role
Join a vibrant secondary school environment in Liverpool as a Teaching Assistant, providing essential support to students who need extra guidance in subjects like maths or simply a listening ear. You will work directly with teenagers, helping them overcome academic challenges and build confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students struggling with coursework.
- Help students develop problem‑solving strategies, particularly in mathematics.
- Offer pastoral care by listening to student concerns and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Adapt support methods to suit diverse learning styles and needs.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with young people in schools, youth clubs, coaching or mentoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with teenagers.
- Patient, adaptable and proactive attitude.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.
