Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools in Liverpool

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a range of secondary schools across Liverpool. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and involves both classroom and pastoral duties, helping students achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with learning on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
- Provide additional support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential).
- Patient, enthusiastic and committed to supporting students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or transferable experience (preferred but not essential).
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive daily rates of pay (GBP 92.56‑97.56 per day).
- Full‑time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
