Teaching Assistant – SEN College (Full‑time, 4 days)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a SEN college in Sutton. You will work Monday to Thursday supporting students aged 16+ to develop communication, social and physical skills across a range of activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to improve speech, motor abilities and social interaction.
- Assist in sessions such as swimming, music, art, sports and cooking.
- Work with small groups of 5‑8 learners, focusing on life‑skill development.
- Collaborate with therapy teams, including speech therapists and animal‑assisted therapy specialists.
Required profile
- Commitment to remain in the role until at least December 2026.
- Relevant experience working with children or young adults in the UK within the past three years.
- Professional references covering recent work or training history.
- Patient, positive and encouraging attitude.
Required skills
