Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary School (London)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) primary school in North London. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, either one‑on‑one or in small groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with learning difficulties and complex needs, including ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Provide academic assistance individually or in small groups.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture and offer emotional support.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and use positive reinforcement.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and well‑being.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK.
- Current, clear DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
- Patient, kind attitude with a passion for supporting SEN students.
