About the role
An experienced Teaching Assistant is sought for a highly regarded SEN school in Ilford. The role offers a permanent contract, strong leadership support and clear pathways for career progression within a specialist environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with Autism, severe learning difficulties and additional needs across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to facilitate academic, social and emotional development.
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group assistance, adapting resources as needed.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans and monitoring progress.
Required profile
- Current permanent Teaching Assistant in a school setting seeking a long‑term move.
- Previous experience in a SEN school, particularly with autism and complex needs.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building and safeguarding knowledge.
- Proactive, resilient and committed to student wellbeing.
