Teaching Assistant – SEN Support in Primary Schools

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in Good and Outstanding primary schools in Crawley. The role is full‑time and temporary, with the potential to become permanent, offering a rewarding career path in education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to SEN pupils, helping them achieve academic and social goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individual education plans.
• Assist in creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and participation.
• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to senior staff.
• Support classroom routines and manage learning resources as required.

Required profile

• Experience working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, caring attitude towards children’s learning.
• Willingness to obtain or hold an enhanced DBS check.
