About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Stockport. The role focuses on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and starts in September on a full‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for SEND pupils.
- Help monitor pupil progress and report observations.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Proven experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary school.
- Availability to start full‑time from September.
- Patience, proactivity and a commitment to pupil development.
Required skills
- Understanding of SEND policies and practices.
- Ability to adapt learning materials for diverse needs.
