Teaching Assistant – SEND, SEMH & ASD (Day Rate £92‑£95)

About the role
Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD and PMLD in schools across Bromley from September. The role involves working one‑to‑one or in small groups to help children engage with learning and manage their wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to children with a range of additional needs.
- Assist pupils with ASD, SEMH and complex needs, including PMLD, in daily classroom activities.
- Help children manage emotions, communication and engagement in learning.
- Support sensory, personal care and wellbeing routines as required.
- Build positive relationships and trust with pupils.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and SEND teams to create a safe, supportive environment.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and empathetic.
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with SEND, SEMH or ASD.
- Calm and confident when dealing with a range of needs.
- Reliable, adaptable and willing to get involved.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with children and school staff.
- Available to start from September.
