Teaching Assistant – SEND Specialist (Full‑time)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school in Meldreth to recruit a compassionate Teaching Assistant. You will work full‑time (40 hours per week) during term time, supporting children and young people aged 6‑19 with a wide range of learning and medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, ADHD, sensory and physical impairments, and complex medical conditions.
• Deliver a meaningful, individualised curriculum that promotes independence and confidence.
• Promote equality, respect and a learner‑centred ethos across all school activities.
• Encourage emotional resilience, communication skills and wellbeing.
• Provide consistent high‑quality support throughout classroom, community and therapeutic settings.
• Contribute to multi‑disciplinary therapeutic approaches.
• Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines when required.
