Teaching Assistant – SEND Support (3 roles)

About the role

VNA Education is recruiting on behalf of an inclusive school in Tower Hamlets for three Teaching Assistant positions starting September 2026. The roles involve supporting pupils across the school, with a focus on SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision, and working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with day‑to‑day classroom activities and general TA duties.
• Provide learning, development and engagement support to all pupils.
• Deliver 1‑to‑1 support for a designated SEND student, including during non‑classroom activities.
• Offer personal and intimate care in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with SEND staff, teachers and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification.
• Experience in a teaching assistant or educational setting is desirable.
• Confidence in supporting pupils with intimate care needs.
• Manual handling training is essential.
• Patient, caring and proactive attitude.

• Manual handling competence.
