About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary and secondary schools in Southampton. You will work closely with teachers to create an engaging learning environment and help students stay focused, confident, and motivated throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils who need extra guidance.
- Assist teachers with classroom resources, lesson activities and behaviour management.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive atmosphere in line with safeguarding policies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to encourage learning.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Patient, supportive and confident in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable, reliable and well‑organised.

- Hourly rate of £14.25‑£15.66.
