About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a small Key Stage 2 class in a specialist SEN school. This long‑term, full‑time position involves working closely with children who have moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and autism, helping them achieve a positive and engaging educational experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting activities.
- Organise and lead fun, inclusive activities for small groups.
- Help create a safe, supportive environment where every child feels happy at school.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and the SENCO to meet individual pupil needs.
Required profile
- Proven experience supporting children with MLD and autism.
- Strong commitment to inclusive education and adaptability.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
