About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a reputable Special Needs School in Royston. You will support learners aged 5 to 19 with complex educational, behavioural and emotional needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with teachers to tailor support for individual students.
  • Assist pupils during classroom activities, ensuring engagement and understanding.
  • Provide one‑to‑one personal care and support for social‑emotional development.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and maintain a positive learning environment.

Required profile

  • Genuine passion for working with students who have special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a UK school or care setting.
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).

Required skills

  • Proficiency in English language.

What we offer

  • Full‑time, fixed‑term contract with immediate start.
  • Hourly rate of £14.24 – £15.
