Teaching Assistant (Specialist SEN School)

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking two dedicated Teaching Assistants to support a specialist SEN school in the M31 area. The role involves working with primary and secondary pupils who have profound and complex needs, providing both educational and personal care support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom assistance to pupils aged 8‑19, working at EYFS and KS1 levels.
• Support 1:1, 2:1 and small‑group learning activities, focusing on engagement and communication.
• Implement sensory‑based interventions and help pupils with emotional regulation.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver personalised care.
• Offer personal care support while maintaining dignity and respect.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with SEN/SEMH pupils.
• Patient, compassionate and adaptable attitude.
• Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to a long‑term role in a specialist setting.
