Teaching Assistant – Stroud Primary School

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, welcoming primary school in Stroud. Working alongside teachers, you will help create an inclusive, engaging environment where every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and organising classroom activities.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation of teaching resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom routines.
- Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Help maintain a tidy and well‑structured learning environment.
Required profile
- Enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to their development.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check (or already hold one).
- Ability to work full‑time during term dates, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential.

- Competitive daily rate of £90‑£105, dependent on experience.
- Full‑time, term‑time only position in a supportive school community.
