Teaching Assistant – Support Children with ALN in Chester

About the role
Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join schools in Chester. You will work directly with pupils, helping them build confidence and achieve progress, especially those with additional learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support during lessons.
- Implement tailored strategies for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
- Collaborate with class teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress.
- Assist with lunchtime and break duties to maintain a safe environment.
- Report any safeguarding concerns directly to the SENCo.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or youth‑support setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pupils with ALN.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced Child DBS check and EWC Registration.
- Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- Ability to deliver personalized learning support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Organisational skills for managing classroom activities.
