Teaching Assistant – Support for SEND Students

About the role

We are seeking a caring, resilient and proactive Teaching Assistant to join the Support team at Kingsbury Green Academy. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to provide dedicated support for students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for SEND pupils.
• Promote independence, inclusion and positive behaviour.
• Help prepare learning resources and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with the SENCo to implement individual education plans.

Required profile

• Patient, flexible and able to build positive relationships with students.
• Experience working with children (essential).
• Experience supporting SEND pupils (desirable).
• Committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive school culture.
