Teaching Assistant – West Kirby

About the role

Join a thriving high‑school environment in West Kirby as a Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. You will support secondary‑school students (ages 11‑16) across KS3 and KS4, helping them achieve their learning goals while gaining valuable experience in education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1‑on‑1 and small‑group academic support to KS3 & KS4 pupils.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to keep lessons structured and on track.
• Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and active participation.
• Assist students with revision, coursework and developing effective study habits.
• Adapt learning materials and resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor progress and give constructive feedback to teachers.

Required profile

• Prior experience working with children or young people aged 11‑16 in a support, tutoring, care or similar role.
• Genuine passion for guiding and mentoring secondary‑school students.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or already hold one on the Update Service).
