Teaching Assistant – Year 5 (Primary) – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent, supporting the Year 5 cohort from September 2026. The role focuses on delivering targeted English and Maths interventions and providing general classroom support to help pupils make strong progress towards upper Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Lead small‑group interventions in English and Maths to close learning gaps.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management across Year 5.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt support in collaboration with teachers and the support team.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group help to build confidence and strengthen core skills.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or a strong academic background in Key Stage 2.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work with diverse pupils and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
