About the role
This full‑time Teaching Assistant position supports Year 5/6 pupils in a Good‑rated primary school in Preston. The role starts in September and runs for the full academic year, providing daily classroom assistance and pastoral support.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils who need extra help.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑behaved classroom environment.
- Support pupils during breaks, lunch and other school activities.
- Assist with record‑keeping, attendance and basic administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide professional references.
- Ability to attend a registration interview.
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule for the academic year.
