Team Leader – Account Management

About the role

Join Gallagher’s Housing Division in Chelmsford as an Account Management Team Leader. You will lead a team of up to seven Account Managers while maintaining your own portfolio of mid‑corporate and large risk clients in the housing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Manage a personal client portfolio, handling new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments.
• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, timely and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Own the renewal process, negotiate with insurers and explore market options to secure optimal outcomes.
• Champion best‑practice client service and uphold FCA compliance throughout the team’s activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Manager, preferably with mid‑corporate and large risk clients.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
• Excellent client service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong negotiation, broking and market awareness skills.
• Proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
