Team Leader – Care Home

About the role

As a Team Leader at Dalgety Bay Care Home you will provide day‑to‑day leadership for the residential, nursing and dementia care teams, ensuring that residents receive safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support. Working closely with the nursing and management team you will help maintain standards, support compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff during assigned shifts, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate delivery of care, including care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
• Ensure all practices meet regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
• Act as a role model, promoting a culture of respect, dignity and accountability.
• Support staff development and performance through coaching and feedback.
• Contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Medication administration training with demonstrated competency.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
