Team Leader – Electrical & Mechanical Assembly

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Team Leaders to join a leading, rapidly expanding manufacturer in Clevedon. The company specialises in advanced manufacturing solutions for micro‑electronic devices such as semiconductors and display technologies, and is a global leader in environmental technology that reduces harmful emissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 15 staff within electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Act as the first‑line decision maker on the shop floor.
• Oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing activities and ensure product quality and on‑time delivery.
• Support, train and develop team members, including conducting performance reviews.
• Collaborate closely with the Cell Leader to achieve operational goals.
• Drive team performance to meet customer delivery schedules.
• Run daily briefings, set clear objectives and address performance issues directly.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost and compliance.
• Liaise with purchasing and internal stakeholders and ensure full health & safety compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading and developing teams in a make‑to‑order manufacturing environment.
• HNC in Engineering with relevant experience, or an apprenticeship with 4+ years manufacturing experience.
