Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly organised Team Leader to join our Extra Care service in Leeds. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will coordinate person‑centred support for older adults, both in their own flats and in communal facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct care and oversee staff deployment.
• Supervise and appraise team members, providing coaching and informal/formal supervision.
• Assess prospective tenants’ care and support needs.
• Maintain communication with families and promote their involvement in personal support plans.
• Support tenants in developing personal and life skills, encouraging social, leisure and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with families, agencies and other partners to ensure a holistic approach.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant care setting.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong duty of care.
• Commitment to delivering person‑centred support.
