Team Leader – Mental Health Support

About the role

Creative Support Ltd is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Team Leader to manage a dedicated team of support staff within its Mental Health service in Whalley Range. You will work closely with the registered service manager and regional managers to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred support for service users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and line‑manage a team of support staff, overseeing day‑to‑day operations.
• Provide direct support to service users, encouraging independence and community participation.
• Conduct assessments of new referrals and maintain robust review processes.
• Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to deliver coordinated, personalised care.
• Deputise for the Mental Health Manager when required.
• Deliver staff supervision, initial assessments and liaison with partners.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in mental health or supported accommodation settings.
• Strong understanding of person‑centred care and therapeutic relationship building.
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mental health support principles.
• Experience with assessment and review processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams.
