Team Leader – Physical Disabilities Service

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our Salford Physical Disabilities Service. Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will ensure the day‑to‑day operational delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach a team of care staff, managing performance and development.
• Deploy staff to meet individual service‑user needs while respecting resource limits.
• Identify mandatory and service‑specific training needs and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to referrals, conduct initial needs assessments and ensure co‑produced support plans with designated Key Workers.
• Organise regular person‑centred reviews, placing service‑user preferences at the heart of planning.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and community agencies to provide holistic, wrap‑around support.
• Maintain high standards of environmental safety, quality and inclusive atmosphere.
• Drive service‑user engagement, peer support and robust quality monitoring.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders on risk management and safeguarding.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health or social care leadership.
• Strong ethical commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior managers and external partners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
