Team Leader – Residential Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our care home in Dartmouth, Devon. You will oversee day‑to‑day care delivery for up to 79 residents, ensuring safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support in a tranquil coastal setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise care staff, promoting best practice and compliance.
• Coordinate care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
• Maintain regulatory standards and contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement.
• Act as a role model, fostering a culture of respect, dignity and accountability.
• Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Medication administration training with demonstrated competency.
• Proven experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional attitude.
