Team Leader – Residential Care

About the role
The Team Leader will provide day‑to‑day leadership and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents in a purpose‑built care home. Working closely with nursing and management teams, you will maintain standards, support compliance and promote best practice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead shifts and supervise care staff, ensuring safe delivery of care.
- Coordinate care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
- Act as a role model, fostering a culture of respect, dignity and accountability.
- Contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Medication administration training with competency.
- Experience leading or supporting a care team.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Caring, compassionate and professional approach.
Required skills
- Medication administration (competent)

- Full‑time and part‑time hours available.
