Team Leader – Residential Care

About the role

As a Team Leader at Shaftesbury in Harlow, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of a residential service for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, ensuring high‑quality care and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of care staff, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure that service users receive high‑quality, person‑centred support.
• Maintain accurate and professional records in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in the on‑call rota and cover sleep‑in shifts when required.
• Oversee daily service operations, health and safety, and compliance.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a care or social‑care setting.
• Compassionate, motivating and empowering attitude towards staff and service users.

Required skills

• £13.95 per hour (full‑time, 40 hrs/week).
• £500 welcome bonus after successful probation (terms apply).
