Team Manager – Support Services (Waltham Abbey)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Team Manager to lead a dedicated team providing person‑centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Waltham Abbey. You will be responsible for fostering a supportive environment, ensuring high‑quality care, and managing day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and train team members in person‑centred support practices.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings, team briefings and annual performance reviews.
• Manage risk by ensuring staff understand and act on individual needs and preferences.
• Complete administrative tasks, documentation and detailed reports using IT systems.

Required profile

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or mental ill health.
• Proven ability to enable choice and control for service users.
• Demonstrated leadership in embedding person‑centred working within a team.
• Understanding of challenges faced by people with disabilities or mental health conditions.
