Tech, Data & AI Governance Manager (Hybrid, London)

About the role

The Tech, Data & AI Governance Manager will lead the enterprise‑wide governance framework for data and artificial intelligence within a fast‑moving, cloud‑centric organisation. Reporting directly to senior leadership, including the CEO and C‑suite, the role balances innovation with control and requires strong commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Data & AI Governance Framework, defining policies, standards, controls and operating models.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship models across business domains.
• Lead metadata management, data cataloguing, lineage and classification strategies.
• Define and embed data quality management frameworks, KPIs and monitoring processes.
• Create AI governance approaches, including approval processes, ethical oversight and ongoing monitoring.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Security, Architecture and Technology teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive adoption through communication, training, stakeholder engagement and change‑management activities.
• Chair governance forums and report progress, risks and adoption metrics to executive stakeholders.
• Support transformation initiatives by embedding governance into delivery and change processes.

Required profile

• Influential governance leader with strategic thinking and a delivery focus.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and able to turn strategy into action quickly.
• Strong experience building or leading data and AI governance frameworks.
