Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer – .NET, Python, AI (London Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a global organisation to modernise a core, business‑critical platform. The role combines strategic architectural leadership with hands‑on development, allowing you to shape the technical direction while delivering incremental improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of a large‑scale, legacy platform towards a modern, scalable architecture.
• Develop new features using .NET, C# and Python, and integrate AI‑powered capabilities.
• Define and implement API integrations with enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver incremental releases.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to development teams.
• Champion software quality, automation, testing and modern engineering standards.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with .NET, C# or Python development.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer or Software Architect.
• Proven track record of modernising legacy applications and designing scalable, highly available systems.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Exposure to AI technologies, LLMs or AI‑enabled products is highly desirable.
