Technical Account Handler – Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Account Handler to join a leading global insurance brokerage in Leeds. The role combines technical expertise with client‑facing responsibilities, managing a portfolio of commercial accounts and delivering tailored risk solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end service of client programmes, including renewals, mid‑term adjustments and market broking.
• Produce high‑quality market submissions and present solutions to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both insureds and insurers, continuously reviewing programmes for competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and senior leadership to drive strategic outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client service, broking or account handling within commercial insurance.
• Strong technical knowledge of core commercial lines and ability to broker risks to market.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable delivering client presentations.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and proactive in managing complex accounts.

Required skills

• Technical understanding of commercial insurance products.
• Negotiation and market placement capabilities.
