About the role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support a major technical debt discovery and remediation programme across multiple government departments. The role will own the architectural workstream, assess existing technology estates and produce a pragmatic roadmap covering immediate improvements and longer‑term remediation.
Key responsibilities
- Own the architectural workstream for the technical debt discovery programme.
- Assess existing technology estates and develop a roadmap with both short‑term improvements and long‑term remediation plans.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in the UK public sector.
- Proven ability to lead technical discovery and assessment exercises, identifying technical debt, risks and capability gaps.
- Strong background in infrastructure, cloud and enterprise architecture.
- Experience interviewing technical authorities and senior stakeholders.
- Track record of producing remediation roadmaps and architectural recommendations within complex digital transformation programmes.
