Technical Business Analyst (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Milton Keynes on a contract basis. In this role you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep‑dive analysis of business requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement through technology.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop business cases and define functional and non‑functional specifications.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design, develop and implement IT systems, applications and data‑driven tools.
• Produce and maintain documentation such as user stories, acceptance criteria, business cases and technical specifications.
• Contribute to project and resource planning, and lead testing and quality‑assurance activities.
• Identify, document and support the realisation of business benefits and ROI.
• Maintain technical artefacts including system architecture diagrams and data models.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technology‑focused environment.
• Ability to break down complex requirements into clear, actionable documentation.
• Confidence working with technical teams across systems, applications and data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and guide decision‑making.
• Structured, logical approach to problem solving and solution design.
