Technical Business Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are partnering with a Microsoft Solutions Partner to deliver Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for UK and international clients. As a Technical Business Analyst you will work closely with customers, architects and developers to translate business needs into secure, cloud‑based solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support requirements‑gathering workshops.
• Document business processes, pain points and both functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria and testable goals.
• Create process flows, use cases and sequence diagrams.
• Support agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning and sprint activities.
• Act as the bridge between customers, architects and development teams.

Required profile

• Strong Business Analyst experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience delivering projects in cloud‑based environments.
• Confident stakeholder engagement with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience modelling processes using UML, Visio, Bizagi, PlantUML or Mermaid.
• Clear communicator with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Desirable: experience in agile/SCRUM teams, exposure to identity/security or regulated environments, knowledge of GDPR or information governance, and formal BA or agile qualifications.

What we offer

• Salary £55,000‑£60,000 per annum plus additional benefits.
• Remote working with an office base in Edinburgh.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance.
