Technical & Compliance Manager – Building Regulations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical & Compliance Manager based in Hastings. This senior position ensures that design work, technical submissions and project delivery meet Building Regulations, fire safety requirements and Gateway processes. The role also represents the business with building control officers, fire engineers, clients, contractors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all design and construction documentation complies with current Building Regulations and fire safety standards.
• Manage technical submissions and Gateway processes for retrofit and new build projects.
• Liaise with building control, fire engineers, clients, contractors and regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
• Produce robust, defensible compliance solutions and related documentation.
• Support or fulfil Principal Designer duties where required.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, fire safety and retrofit projects.
• Experience with Gateway processes and Principal Designer responsibilities.
• Proven ability to produce technically defensible documentation and compliance submissions.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Comfortable operating within senior leadership and representing the business externally.
