Technical Delivery Manager – Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join a global financial institution’s Derivatives division in London. Reporting to the Director of Application Development, you will lead end‑to‑end delivery of regulated change projects in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute projects from initiation through post‑delivery support, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Maintain clear documentation, track milestones and communicate goals to cross‑functional teams.
• Manage development task planning, quality control for SIT and UAT, and operate within a lean governance framework.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements and internal standards, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project processes for efficiency.

Required profile

• Significant project management experience within regulated financial services, preferably large UK banks.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and change management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, resolve conflicts and work under pressure.
• Agile, PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Experience using Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
• Hands‑on use of JIRA for task tracking.
• Ability to create diagrams and process flows in Visio.
