Technical Director – C#/.NET Platform Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the technology function of a fast‑growing software business in Manchester. You will own the platform strategy, guide architectural decisions and bridge the gap between technology and commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the long‑term platform roadmap.
• Lead, mentor and expand the engineering team.
• Oversee hiring, performance management and professional development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Ensure robust, scalable infrastructure and delivery processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering leadership or senior technical lead roles.
• Track record of building and developing high‑performing technical teams.
• Ability to balance platform, infrastructure, delivery and people responsibilities.
• Comfortable influencing company‑wide technology decisions.
