Technical Infrastructure Team Lead

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing Managed Service Provider that delivers IT, cloud, communications and cybersecurity solutions across the UK. The Technical Infrastructure Team Lead will stay hands‑on while guiding two junior engineers, handling complex escalations and leading migration projects for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and manage two junior IT engineers, overseeing ticket queues and SLA performance.
• Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex incidents.
• Design and deliver server, cloud and Microsoft 365 migration projects, including P2V, V2V and tenant‑to‑tenant moves.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 suite – Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID and Intune.
• Maintain Azure, VMware and Hyper‑V environments.
• Lead customer onboarding, technical transition and on‑site installations when required.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of IT support and infrastructure experience.
• Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider environment.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and manage engineers.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in a paid out‑of‑hours rota (up to one week per month).
