Technical Lead – Temenos Transact (Hybrid, 6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead for a top‑tier banking firm to drive the architectural design, integration and deployment of their core wealth platforms built on Temenos Transact. This 6‑month contract (Inside IR35) is hybrid, requiring 2‑3 days per week in the Glasgow office.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical blueprint and interface designs for a high‑volume, enterprise‑scale Transact ecosystem.
• Lead advanced Java L3 customisation and TAFJ componentisation, moving legacy code to modern standards.
• Architect robust, real‑time, event‑driven integrations using IF OUTBOX, Apache Camel and IRIS frameworks.
• Direct performance and load testing, and establish CI/CD pipelines (Git, Docker, Kubernetes) for seamless containerised deployments.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between business analysts, product owners and executive stakeholders to translate wealth‑management requirements into flawless execution.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Temenos Transact, especially in Private Banking, Securities and Corporate Actions.
• Deep mastery of TAFJ, componentisation and Java L3 customisation.
• Hands‑on experience with IF OUTBOX, Apache Camel and IRIS APIs.
• Knowledge of SWIFT, ISO20022 and MQ/REST/SOAP web services.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.
