Technical Manager – BMS Systems (London & South)

About the role

NG Bailey is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead building management system (BMS) projects across London and the southern region. Based in our London office, you will oversee technical risk, design optimisation and project delivery from inception to client handover.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health and safety leadership on all project activities.
• Manage technical engineering for internally and externally designed BMS projects, ensuring best‑value design and risk mitigation.
• Support business development with technical advice and assist in preparing technical management fees.
• Prepare monthly project reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks and resource issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing BMS or similar engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and technical compliance.
• Ability to communicate proactively with stakeholders and drive collaboration.
• Experience preparing cost forecasts and managing project profitability.
