Technical Operations Manager – Water Treatment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to lead our water treatment projects across the North East and North West. The role is field‑based, overseeing complex installations, remedial works and providing on‑site technical support to engineers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of water treatment projects, installations and remedial works.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and site teams.
• Attend customer sites for complex works, audits and quality inspections.
• Manage project mobilisation, delivery and completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, materials and resources.
• Support troubleshooting of closed systems, cooling towers, boiler water treatment, dosing systems and related plant.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure clear communication throughout projects.
• Promote safe working practices and compliance with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Strong experience in the water treatment industry.
• Previous experience managing field‑based engineers or technical teams.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects from start to finish.
• Understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274 and water hygiene regulations.
