Technical Paraplanner – Hybrid (Wilmslow)

About the role

We are seeking a technical, non‑client‑facing Paraplanner to join an award‑winning independent Chartered financial planning firm near Wilmslow. You will work closely with Client Managers, delivering research, analysis and recommendations across pensions, investments and protection.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research, analysis and produce recommendations on pensions, investments and protection for high‑value client portfolios.
• Prepare accurate, compliant suitability reports that are clear for clients to understand.
• Maintain a detailed record of research rationale that can withstand regulatory scrutiny.
• Identify and flag issues or opportunities when the numbers indicate a need for action.
• Handle complex casework including estates, inheritance tax and multi‑generational planning.

Required profile

• CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent qualification.
• Proven paraplanning experience with strong knowledge of pensions, investments and protection.
• Desire to focus on the technical craft of paraplanning over the long term.
• Sharp attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise written recommendations.
• Comfortable collaborating with Client Managers and constructively challenging recommendations.
