Technical Project Manager (Electronic Engineering)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in electronic engineering to lead the design and delivery of innovative electronic products for our client in Reading. The role will act as the technical lead throughout the full product lifecycle, from gathering customer requirements to manufacturing and deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and development of new electronic products, providing engineering expertise across all project stages.
• Define project plans, set realistic timelines and allocate resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop technical solutions for customer proposals, prepare cost estimates and assess risks.
• Create, maintain and control all technical documentation in line with company standards.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience working through the product design lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as safety, EMC and environmental requirements.
• Understanding of quality management systems and compliance.
• Exposure to embedded software and firmware development environments.
