Technical Sales Engineer – Home Based (Yorkshire)

About the role

This home‑based Technical Sales Engineer will support the growth of our construction‑focused product portfolio across Yorkshire and the wider region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will combine technical expertise with a relationship‑driven sales approach to meet commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
• Provide design solutions that meet customer requirements and comply with regulations.
• Ensure products are correctly specified in tender documents.
• Achieve enquiry, quotation and order volume targets while maintaining agreed gross margins.
• Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records in Salesforce.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Produce clear proposals and quotations in line with company style.
• Collaborate with internal technical, estimating and marketing teams.
• Adhere to legal responsibilities and QHSE policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction‑related sales or customer‑service role.
• Degree‑level education or equivalent, with GCSE Maths & English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commercially aware with a self‑motivated, results‑driven attitude.
