Technical Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to act as the bridge between our engineering teams and customers across the UK and Europe. You will combine your engineering knowledge with strong relationship‑building skills to deliver bespoke equipment solutions and support the full sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customer manufacturing processes and technical requirements.
• Develop tailored engineering proposals, quotations and technical documentation.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to contract closure.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Support product demonstrations, equipment trials and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
• Attend customer meetings, trade exhibitions and travel within the UK and Europe as required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and gather customer feedback.

Required profile

• A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and Europe.
